Hey there! I'm Lara,
Founder of Groovy Girl Cafe.
What started as a dream (and a serious love for coffee and baking) has become my way to share warmth, creativity, and a little groovy energy with my community. Every latte, every homemade treat, and every smile shared from the camper reminds me why I took this leap, to bring people together and spread a bit of sunshine wherever we roll.
My Story
Early in 2025, I experienced an accident that completely shifted my outlook on life. It forced me to slow down, face long-lasting challenges, and truly reflect on what matters most. As difficult as it was, that moment became a turning point, a reminder that life is fragile, precious, and worth living with intention. It was the universe telling me it was time to step into something new, something meaningful.
For years, my friends and family had encouraged me to do something with my love for cooking and baking. But life, work, and the usual excuses always got in the way. That accident became my someday.
It gave me permission to dream differently; to imagine a life built around creativity, connection, and joy.
And from that spark, Groovy Girl Café was born; a vintage 1965 camper turned cozy haven, serving up coffee, matcha, and homemade baked goods made with love.
This project is a reflection of so many pieces of my heart:
☀️ A little homage to my daughter, Lennon, my forever “groovy girl” and biggest inspiration.
🌼 A love letter to the colorful, soulful 60s and 70s vibe that has always spoken to me.
💛 And a new beginning rooted in resilience, passion, and the comfort that comes from good food shared with good people.
Groovy Girl Café is more than a business, it’s a dream come to life. It’s proof that beautiful things can grow from the hardest seasons, and that it’s never too late to begin again.
So whether you’re stopping by for your morning coffee, a sweet treat, or just a dose of good energy, I’d be so honored to have you along for this journey. Here’s to fresh starts, strong coffee, and keeping life a little groovy✌️💛☕️
